Raymond James Canada names new CEO

Raymond James Canada has named Peter Moores as its new CEO, capping the end of a six month executive search. 

Moores is a 22 year veteran of Raymond James, most recently serving as CEO and Country Manager in the UK. 

“Peter’s well-earned reputation as a champion for advisors combined with his track record for building a profitable and growing business ideally position him to lead RJL’s strategy going forward,” said Paul Allison, Chair of the Board, Raymond James Ltd. He added: “with over 20 years of tenure in the firm, Peter also brings a genuine appreciation for the role RJL values and culture will continue to play in our success.”

Moores' appointment is still pending regulatory approval from CIRO, pending that approval and the end of the transition period, Paul Allison will remain CEO of Raymond James Canada. In his new role, Moores will report to Paul Reilly, Executive Chair of Raymond James Financial.
